Five-step cushioning packaging design: ① determine product fragility (via drop test or empirical values, G-value); ② determine impact and vibration conditions in the distribution environment (drop height, vibration frequency); ③ select cushioning material and consult cushioning coefficient curves; ④ calculate cushion pad area and thickness (A = W×G/σ, t = h×C/G); ⑤ fabricate samples and conduct verification tests. Protection design should focus on: the most vulnerable parts of the product (protrusions, precision components) requirekey protection; cushion pads should support high-strength areas of the product; prevent product movement inside packaging (appropriate interference fit); corners and edges are key protection areas for drop impact; heavy products require bottom cushioning and overall structural strength consideration.
Optimization directions: use "local cushioning" instead of "full wrapping" (reduce material usage); use recyclable/biodegradable materials (meet environmental requirements and consumer preferences); integrated design (cushioning and outer packaging integration, reduce processes); gradually reduce cushion thickness after test verification (avoid over-packaging).
